Yesha Townsend

Yesha Townsend is a writer from Bermuda. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music composition and is currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing from Hamline University in St.Paul, Minnesota. She has served as the mentor and coach for the Bermuda National Youth Poetry Slam Team. She has been published in The Bermudian Magazine and the Bermuda Anthology of Memoir & Creative Non-Fiction. She’s in a band called DONNA. Her writing explores queerness through the lens of the black Caribbean experience, she writes of home, of hurricanes, of Bermudian history, mythology and folklore.
