Kay Welsch
Kay Welsch (KW), a native Nebraskan, graduated from the University of Nebraska, and later received an M.A. in English from Michigan State. She taught English in Nigeria, Texas, and Thailand. In mid-career, Kay went to seminary. She was ordained in the United Church of Christ and served 11 congregations as an interim minister. In retirement, Kay has taken classes at the Loft and is grateful to be a part of the Nerve Poets. Currently, she is a part-time visitation minister, while she continues to write poetry. Kay has a chapbook, Heirlooms. She has two daughters and five grandchildren.
