David Stein
David Stein was involved with Cracked Walnut as the unofficial sidekick to founder Satish Jayaraj for several years before taking the reins when Satish moved to Iowa. David has organized several annual literary festivals including the Saint Paul Almanac and Cracked Walnut literary festivals, and has curated many different Cracked Walnut events including the LAYERS series of literary readings set to music selected by the participating authors as a soundtrack to their original work. He grew up in Duluth, MN and studied literature and philosophy at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
