Christy Merry
Christy Merry is a native Minnesotan who has had the honor of being a part of the poetry and music communities in many other cities she has lived in across the USA – starting with Chicago and including Hollywood, and Brooklyn in NYC. She has self-published 4 chapbooks in the last 15 years including Land of My Love, The Year Without You, Fly Free and Before Cancer Comes For Me. She recently also produced her first EP of original songs, entitled Here For You. Here in Minneapolis in recent years she has been a part of the open mic scenes at The Coffeeshop NE and Eat My Words Bookstore as well as various features at other venues, and has been a part of Tony Plocido’s performance poetry classes. She and her husband Tommy and their two cats Audrey & Ramona live in NE Minneapolis in a little house on a hill, and she has a day job as a retirement professional/calculation consultant.
