Hello Dark Rainbow
by Christine Jaspers
Hello Dark Rainbow...
Why should love be so scary,
so scar-y,
so mind bendingly jarry?
Well, it is as we've felt it
and we've dealt it,
and below-the-belt-it before.
It just is if you've known it and
you've shown it,
and it is if you've sown it
and outgrown it before.
It must is if you're breathing,
sometimes seething,
with love never more.
And so please tell me, Dark Rainbow,
Can you cure me of this fear,
surely growing, ever near?
Hell no, Dark Rainbow, we both know
that this rear window is no mirror.
Still, I cannot say goodbye,
no, would not even try,
it would be a blantant lie.
So, we are left again with "Hi."
Hello Dark Rainbow...
you know I will keep asking "Why?"
