Anna Marie
As a performance artist with an insatiable sense of curiosity, Anna Marie has lived and performed in New York City; Paris, France; and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her love of spoken word began at Nuyorican Poets Cafe in 2010, and she has been involved in the community ever since. Through the use of personal anecdote, social observation, and word play, Anna Marie aims to unpack the topics of vulnerability, intimacy, and the culture of victimization in 21st Century America. Previous features include Image Gallery NYC, WIP Artists, the Collective Sex, and Err Mpls. Anna Marie has been published in Errata, video published by Button Poetry, and her poetry has recently been featured at a TIME'S UP event honoring Rebecca Traister's new book Good and Mad.
